January 28 English 10A

Over the next four weeks we will be working on persuasive and expository essays in preparation for a final speech/presentation.  As well students must have a novel read in order to complete a book  report by the end of February.  A busy month, so keep on track!!

Please continue workng on your four short story projects which are due on Dec. 5.  You will have a limited amount of time in class so you must be working on them at home.  Also keep reading your novel and writing in your journal.

English 10A Nov. 10th

As there will be no classes on November 11, please make an effort to attend the Remembrance Day ceremonies here at the school.

You are responsible to have completed a character analysis and all the questions for “The Snob”  by Wednesday’s class.

Period three do not forget that we will have an open forum on Wed.  Bring your ideas and comments!!!

English 10A Nov. 3rd

We began the short story unit with “The Hockey Sweater”.  Please complete questions 1 -5 for homework.

English 10A October 27th

This is our last section of Poetry!!!!  Please read over the rules for a sonnet.  Make sure your two worksheets are complete and begin studying for your final test on Poetry which is scheduled for Wed. or Thurs.  Don’t leave it until the last minute.  Midterm reports go out next week.

English 10A October 6

Students are to complete the questions for the first two poems in thier packet.  This project is expected to be completed by Friday so you must keep up on your homework each night.

Don’t forget your novel for tomorrow!!!

English 10A Sept. 16

Homework is to write a paragraph on how you picture heaven.  Remember to use words to create an image in the reader’s mind.  Good Luck!!
